One thousand years before the time of Prince Adam, King Grayskull defeats Hordak and banishes the Horde to Despondos. During a night of celebration, his trusted advisor Adi arranges for the Gar people to attack in a violent rebellion. King Grayskull is betrayed and killed by Saryn, a Gar woman he views as a daughter.
