Adam is rescued by a Desert Wind, slave in the camp, who reveals herself to be Teela. The duo escape the camp together, only for her to reveal the Zoar is a mystical illusion.

The prisoners are taken to the island's ruler, Evil-Lyn, who sentences them to fight in her cauldron, a flaming area with only a thin platform of safety.

It is guarded by a crazed Battle Cat, who attacks the duo. After Teela is captured by Man-At-Arms, Adam reaches the sword while his back is mauled by the tiger. But once he draws the sword from the stone, He-Man returns, breaking the spell that hid the heroes' memories.

Skeletor is defeated, only to be transported to another dimension by a secretive figure acting through the red skull.

He reveals that the leader of the enemy is Hordak, a monster from legend thought to be myth. Despara arrives in holographic form and offers to spare the others if Battle Cat is butchered and He-Man fights her to the death. After refusing her offer, the heroes prepare to hear Teela's story of her past with Adora.

Shadow Weaver saves Adora from Hordak's wrath, but is killed by Hordak for caring about Adora as her own daughter.

After regrouping at Point Dread, Teela confronts her father about Adora's surprise reveal that the Sorceress was Teela's mother. Adora sets out on her own, no longer part of the Horde.

When the Fright Zone elements of the base open a chasm below them, the heroes are saved by a winged unicorn Adora freed from the Horde cages.

Adora declares she will never trust Teela again due to her manipulative handling of the situation.

As Adam struggles to lift a beam, he unknowingly taps into the Power of Eternity. Zodac and the Sorceress observe and decide to intervene, granting Adam a small bit of power to save his father.
