On Sunday, Mattel Creations posted two macro photographs and a logo. One frame holds a translucent red staff gripped in a red fist, its crossguard notched, its shaft segmented. The other runs bronze armour, scrolled and riveted, over pale blue skin above a deep red belt. Over both sits the Club Grayskull wordmark and the words SNEAK PREVIEW. The figure underneath is a Deluxe Laser Light Skeletor for the Origins line, and he goes up on 12 October at 9:00am Pacific, behind a Club Grayskull member window that on the better reading of two reports opens to everyone on 13 October.1
What Mattel has not published is a listing. Read first hand this morning, creations.mattel.com returns nothing at all for “laser light” in its own product search, and it carries no Laser Light Skeletor in its Masters of the Universe collection, on its Club Grayskull page, or on its launch calendar. There is no price, no item number, and no photograph of the finished figure.
His opponent is already for sale
The He-Man he was drawn fighting is orderable today! Origins Deluxe Laser Power He-Man, item JHK21, was in stock at Mattel Creations this morning at $33.00, and BigBadToyStore has him at $27.99 against a $32.99 list, on pre-order rather than in hand.2 Mattel’s own copy gives the figure 5.5 inches and sixteen points of articulation, an integrated backpack, harness and arm guard, a light-up Power Sword, and a mini comic. The same copy explains why the tribute exists. The vintage Laser Power He-Man only ever went out in Europe, on a very limited distribution, and Mattel says plainly that he is hard to find on the secondary market now.
Laser Light Skeletor has the same story and no modern figure to go with it. Toy Habits puts him among the last two deluxe releases of the vintage line, a European rarity with light-up eyes and a lit Havoc staff. Our page on him adds one more thing. The internal light unit is the first thing to fail, so a working example is scarcer than a complete one. The vintage Laser Power He-Man entry sits beside it in the archive.
Mattel has been showing fans this figure without selling him
He is painted into the Origins Eternia packaging art at the top of this page, mid-duel with the armoured He-Man across a cracked stone floor, and Toy Habits reads that pair as Laser Power He-Man and Laser Light Skeletor. The same outlet finds him again on the card back for Camo Khan, firing on his enemies and sending Camo Khan in to attack. Neither of those was an announcement, and neither carried a date. Both were pictures of a figure nobody could buy, printed on packaging for figures they could.
The member window is the new part. Mattel used the same one on the Chronicles King Hiss listing on 2 September, members-only for a day and open to the public the following morning. The Club Grayskull membership itself was on sale this morning at $9.99 a year. But its own listing copy is careful about what that buys, and the sentence to read is the one saying membership does not provide a guarantee to purchase. Whether a priority window is enough on a figure this scarce will not be clear until 9:00am Pacific on 12 October.
What to watch between now and then
The teaser does two useful things beyond fixing the date. It confirms the staff is moulded in translucent red rather than clear plastic with paint on it, and it shows bronze tooling on the armour with a small ram skull sitting among the scrollwork. But no frame shows a light on. The vintage figure’s lamp is what made it, and the same lamp is what fails first on the survivors. Whether Mattel has put a working one back in, the finished listing will have to say.
Watch creations.mattel.com rather than an aggregator for that answer. The listing is where the window sentence, the item number, and the price all turn up at once, and Mattel prints the window in the fine print below the feature bullets.

Toy Habits has the figure “available through October 13, 2026, at 8:59am PT, exclusively for Club Grayskull members,” a sentence that can be taken as the drop itself closing on the thirteenth. he-man.org has sales starting with members only and “opening to non-members on October 13.” The second reading matches how Mattel worded its own King Hiss fine print in September, a members-only window running from 9:00am Pacific one day to 8:59am the next, so that is the reading carried above.
