Dark Horse and Mattel Make Comics! Is the One He-Man Panel at NYCC 2026

heman.org October 8, 2026 Updated October 8, 2026 at 2:00 PM ET

The Dark Horse and Mattel comics panel is on the NYCC 2026 schedule for Sunday, October 11, 4:00 to 4:45 PM ET, North Room 406.3. What the listing says, who it does not name, and what we have not found.

He-Man has one session on the New York Comic Con 2026 schedule, and it sits on the last day of the show. “Dark Horse and Mattel Make Comics!” runs Sunday, October 11, from 4:00 to 4:45 PM ET in North Room 406.3 of the Javits Center.

What does the NYCC listing say about the Dark Horse and Mattel panel?

The listing invites fans of Barbie and He-Man: Masters of the Universe to hear about the newest series and see sneak peeks of upcoming projects, with Dark Horse editorial and creators on stage. The part of the listing we could read does not name those creators.

We read the four schedule pages on October 4 and found no other session that names He-Man or Masters of the Universe. The NYCC pages load with scripts our tools cannot read, so we cannot say whether the listing has changed since then, and we will add names to the NYCC 2026 hub when the show does.

Which Dark Horse series could the panel cover?

Dark Horse has two Masters of the Universe titles in our catalogue. Masters of the Universe: Genesis is a twelve-issue origin anthology that began in August 2026, and He-Man and the Masters of the Universe is the ongoing title that started in October 2025.

Dark Horse has said later Genesis arcs will come from Cavan Scott, Nick Roche, John Harris Dunning, Giovanna La Pietra and Tiffany Smith, with no dates attached. Our guess is that a panel promising sneak peeks is where those dates would turn up, but nothing in the listing says so.

Where does Mattel fit in?

Mattel makes the He-Man toys, and the Sunday panel is the only NYCC appearance for it that we have found. It was not on the floor exhibitor list when we read it on October 4, and we found no Mattel convention exclusive for He-Man on the exclusives page. We have not seen Mattel say whether it will show a toy at the panel.

Dark Horse is on the show floor at booth 4451. Everything we are tracking for Masters of the Universe at the show, from the exclusives to the Thursday Super7 session, is on the NYCC 2026 hub.
