Dragon Pearl of Destruction Opens Physical Pre-Orders, With a Mini Power Sword in the Collector's Edition

Limited Run Games opened physical pre-orders for the He-Man beat-em-up on October 12, and they close November 22. The Collector's Edition is $99.99 and the first 2,250 pre-orders get an Origins He-Man figure.

The pre-order is the news today, and Limited Run Games has put a lot more in the Collector’s Edition box than a disc.

Physical pre-orders for He-Man and the Masters of the Universe: Dragon Pearl of Destruction opened on October 12 at Limited Run Games and run through Sunday, November 22, 2026 at 11:59 PM Eastern. Gematsu reports a February 4, 2027 launch and Steam’s listing shows the same day. Our own game page, last checked August 25, could only say early 2027.

What is in the Collector’s Edition

The Collector’s Edition is $99.99 on Switch, PS5 or Xbox, and the listing names everything in it: the game in a foil and embossed slipcover, a holographic foil box, a steelcase, a plastic lunch box, an acrylic standee, a pin set, an exclusive mini comic book, and a Mini Power Sword that stands 4.9 inches tall including its stand.

The lunch box and the sword are the two pieces you can see in the promotional graphic above: a blue plastic box with the game’s key art in its window, and a Power Sword on a green stand.

The free Origins He-Man

The Collector’s Edition also carries a free Masters of the Universe Origins He-Man action figure, but only for the first 2,250 pre-orders and only while supplies last. Limited Run says the figures are allocated per platform, so the Switch, PS5 and Xbox editions can each run out at a different time. If you want the figure, pick your platform early.

The listing gives no ship date; it describes the item as in pre-production and in manufacturing. It does not describe the figure’s packaging either, so we cannot say yet whether it is carded.

Standard and the other editions

The Standard Edition is $29.99, which matches Gematsu’s price for the game. Limited Run’s own post says Standard, Classic and Collector’s editions are all open, and that Steam covers the digital purchase. We have not found the Classic Edition’s price or contents on a page we could read, so we are leaving them out until we can.

The game itself

It is a side-scrolling beat-em-up from Bitmap Bureau, drawn to resemble the 1983 Filmation cartoon, with He-Man, Teela and Man-At-Arms in the lead and Battle Cat fighting alongside them. Two players can share a screen. Gematsu says it runs 13 stages against Skeletor’s forces, and Steam says “over 13 levels”, so the stage count is a figure we will keep checking; our game page previously said 12.

The sources also disagree on the roster. Gematsu and Steam list four playable characters including She-Ra, while Limited Run’s pre-order post names three, He-Man, Man-At-Arms and Teela. The three-hero reading fits what our game page already says, that She-Ra is unlocked for later playthroughs rather than available at the start.

Where to pre-order

Pre-orders are at Limited Run Games until November 22. For the full picture of the cast, the story and the release history so far, our Dragon Pearl of Destruction game page has all of it, and the figure on offer is a sibling of the toys on our Origins shelf. If you want to see who the game leans on, start with He-Man and Skeletor.
