Masters of the Universe Chronicles Evil-Lyn went up on Mattel’s own store today at $27.00, on a backorder dated 16 October. She is not an easy figure to order anywhere else this afternoon: BigBadToyStore lists her a penny cheaper at $26.99 and has none to sell, offering a waitlist instead, and Entertainment Earth wants $29.99 for an October it describes as an estimate.
Five Masters of the Universe figures went up on Creations in that same hour, and only one of them is an exclusive. The exception is the interesting bit. Creations has spent most of its life as the convention-drop and members-only store, the tab you open when Mattel announces something you cannot get in a shop, and today it quietly put ordinary line product on its own shelf and undercut two of the retailers that carry it.
What Mattel says is in the box
The listing is written to the Chronicles pitch rather than the Origins one, and the spec follows: 6.5 inch scale, thirty points of articulation, and a sculpt Mattel’s copy describes as carrying the likeness of Alison Brie. She comes with her Magical Staff and a spare pair of hands, and Mattel says the packaging is built to display either way, shut in the window box or opened out.
A staff and a spare pair of hands is a light loadout for a figure at this price. But the copy names the actress before it names anything in the tray.
We wrote up what travels with her on 19 September, when Entertainment Earth’s Wave 4 case listing turned out to pack a pair of Man-At-Arms and only one of her. Retailers order cases, not figures, so one Evil-Lyn per case is a plain reason her singles keep selling out ahead of the rest of the wave.
She did not go up on her own
Four Origins 200X Cartoon Collection figures landed alongside her: Sorceress, Trap Jaw and Sy-Klone at $20.00 each, and an oversized deluxe Man-E-Faces at $25.00 whose head still rotates through human, robot and monster. Somebody at Mattel did the homework on these, because the copy pins each of the standard figures to an episode rather than to the 2002 toy it is reworking. Sy-Klone’s red rings and lenticular chest come from “The Mystery of Anwat Gar”, the Sorceress and her removable wings from “The Ties That Bind”, and Trap Jaw’s claw and hook from “Trust”.
Those four are not new, and Creations is probably not where to buy them. We covered the same quartet on Amazon on 4 August, listed then at $19.43 for the standard figures and $23.75 for Man-E-Faces with a 1 October ship date. We have not re-read those listings today, so read the Amazon page yourself before you put a 200X figure in a Creations bag.
The fifth is Origins Two Bad, the one genuine Creations exclusive of the batch, live today at $22.00 on a backorder dated 13 November. We have been following that one since the tease, and the post carries the spec, the price and the members-first window.
Where she stands this afternoon
All three Evil-Lyn listings were read first hand after the drop. Mattel Creations has her at $27.00 with the button live, though the order is a backorder rather than stock on a shelf: the listing carries 16 October 2026 and renders it as a ship-on-or-before [1]. BigBadToyStore lists her at $26.99, shows no stock and offers a waitlist, alongside a CAS graded and cased tier at $101.99 [2]. Entertainment Earth has her as a live pre-order at $29.99, estimated to arrive October 2026, and our toys entry for her still points there.
So the cheapest listing belongs to the shop that cannot sell her, and between the two that can, Mattel is the lower price and the only one that has named a day rather than a month. Go straight to Mattel on this one!
[1] Creations does not print that date in the body of the page. It sits in a hidden field named for the variant, reading 10-16-2026, which the page’s own script turns into a ship-on-or-before line. Worth knowing where it lives if you buy from Creations at all, because the visible page says nothing about it.
[2] The CAS tier is a third-party grading service selling a slabbed copy through BigBadToyStore’s listing page. It sits under the same product and shows as a live pre-order while the figure itself does not, so it catches the eye of anyone scanning the page for something orderable. It is not her price.
